The Spot News: New Avengers Teaser Trailer On Tuesday So Says Marvel

Just as Marvel teased this afternoon that it will premiere the first official trailer for The Avengers on Tuesday, three more images from the Joss Whedon-directed ensemble film surfaced online.
Via Oh No They Didn’t comes new stills of Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, as well as a behind-the-scenes photo giving us our first look at Cobie Smulders as S.H.I.E.LD. Agent Maria Hill (with Whedon and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury on the set of the Helicarrier).
Marvel confirmed earlier this week that it will screen new footage from The Avengers Oct. 15 at New York Comic Con during a presentation that will feature Chris Evans, Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg and Smulders.
The Avengers, which also stars Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner and Stellan Skarsgård, opens May 4, 2012.
