The Spot News: Fox Movie Release Dates

The Spot News: Fox Movie Release Dates

Twentieth Century Fox is pushing ahead with the next installments of its Die Hard and Percy Jackson franchises, announcing a Feb. 14, 2013, release date for A Good Day to Die Hard and a March 26, 2013, opening for Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.

Directed by John Moore, the fifth film in the action series sends the New York City police detective to Russia, where his estranged son is caught up in a daring prison escape of a rogue political leader.

Percy Jackson brings back star Logan Lerman for an adaptation of the second book in Rick Riordan’s bestselling series of young-adult novels, which follows they young demigod and his friends as they rescue the satyr Grover and retrieve the Golden Fleece. The studio was probably wise to shorten the title from Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Sea of Monsters.

Actually excited to see this scheduled and that we will be seeing Logan Lerman reprising his role as Percy Jackson. The book series is great and I hope a new director will keep along the book and not change anything drastic like the first did. Oh and here is hoping that a few things are corrected or forgotten in the new movie.

Fox also set dates for the Liam Neeson action-thriller Taken 2 (Oct. 5, 2012), the Gerard Butler surfing biopic Of Men and Mavericks (formerly Mavericks; Oct. 26, 2012), the Billy Crystal-Bette Midler comedy Parental Guidance (formerly Us & Them; Nov. 21, 2012), and Walking with Dinosaurs (Oct. 11, 2013).
