American Horror Story - Small Screen/Horror Spot Review

American Horror Story - Small Screen Review

Episode Eleven - "Birth"

1984
Nora cares for and protects a young Tate from the Infantata who she still refers to as her son, Thaddeus. She tells Tate that if he tells them to "go away," the ghosts will listen and leave him alone. Tate gets closer to her, telling her that he wished he had her as a mother.

This is it. We finally get to the birth of the twins. But before that it seems that some of the ghosts, along with Nora, want the babies for themselves. We find Chad and Patrick fixing the babies room. With plans revealed to Constance that once they have the babies they will wait until they are one year old or so, kill them, so they can stay cute and babies forever.

Violet goes to Constance for help to get rid of them. Billie Dean the psychic senses that Violet is dead and mentally tells to her that she is sorry and that this should not have happened to her. She doesn’t want Tate around her. Billie Dean reveals an old Native American story on how to get rid of the ghosts. Tate helps Violet and hits on Patrick to get him close enough to steal his wedding ring. Violet gets Chad’s watch. Later on Violet burns the items in the furnace and says the word. Chad fakes his “death” and tells her that the story is a joke and that he is giving up getting the babies due to Patrick’s constant infidelity and cheating. And throws in that Tate raped her mom and is the father of one of the babies.

Against her will and most likely due to the houses supernatural power, Vivien is going to give birth in the house. The power goes out and not able to get help they have no choice but to stay. Constance is around to lend a hand. Ghost’s come to their aid so to speak. The mad doctor and the two murdered nurses help with the birth. Vivien’s baby with Ben is still born and is whisked away by the doctor and given to Nora. The other baby has some complications but is alive and well. Constance takes it to clean up, Moira cries, only to then be confronted by Hayden. Who wants “her” baby.

Vivien then goes into shock and bleeds out. Violet tells her mom to let go and be with her while Ben seems to be slowly losing it. Vivien finally lets go. The house is quiet with only Ben crying. Violet then confronts Tate and tells him to leave her alone. To “go away”. Her mom appears. Holding her. Violet tells her that she is sorry and so sorry for losing her baby. Vivien then tells Violet that she didn’t lose her baby and hugs her tighter.
