Back in 2009 when the first Sherlock Holmes film came out, I believe I had it at #1, the best movie of 2009 for me. Here we are in 2011 and...well Sherlock Holmes just missed out on the top spot. It's weird to say this but, the sequel was much better than the original, probably by every stretch of the imagination. The ante seemed to be raised all around. There was a little more wit to it, a great amount of action, good storytelling. A great acting job all around, which is something you'd normally expect from the likes of Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law and company.
