Starting the award season off: Best Special Effects in a movie

Kicking off the "award" season here at The Movie Spot is the Best Special Effects in a movie award. Special effects add an extra pizazz to a film. It could come in the form of exploding buildings, things flying across screen, lots of CGI, it doesn't really matter. All that matters is that it looks cool!

Here is the winner, along with some runner ups:

Robert Acosta:

Winner: TRON: Legacy
Runner ups: Inception, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Harry Potter 7 part 1

Jose Diaz:

Winner: TRON: Legacy
Runner ups: Inception and Scott Pilgrim vs. The World

It's pretty clear who took this award, in the last possible day of eligibility I might add...which was yesterday. Nonetheless, TRON: Legacy didn't win by a whole lot because Inception was pretty crazy with the effects as well. But when you see TRON, you'll see why it was a clear cut winner of this award.
