Best Horror Movie Goes to...

Some may argue that horror movies are not what they used to be. Be that as it may, they are still around and they're are still some good ones out there. Horror and being scared are definitely subjective matters, one person may be scared of a movie while one person may not find the same movie in any way scary. Nonetheless, good horror movies still exist. Here are our winners for horror movie of 2010:

Robert Acosta:
Winner: Paranormal Activity 2
Runner ups: Saw 3D, The Crazies

Jose Diaz:
Winner: Devil
Runner ups: Paranormal Activity 2

So as you can see, Paranormal Activity 2 was a big hit for us. I had it on my top 10 movies of 2010 list(at #10) and we both had it on our lists for best horror of this year. Most people find this kind of movie stupid but i'm sure, without a doubt in my mind, if any type of paranormal activity were to happen in your home, you'd be scared out of your mind. That's what makes horror movies effective, theoretically putting yourself in the situation the movie presents and knowing it would be damn scary. As for Devil, it also looks like it presents effective horror, the way PA2 did. A group of people trapped in an elevator and one of them ends up being the Devil. Think about it. That's a terrifying thought.
