There are always a few action movies every year that usually stand above all. Maybe because of kick-ass fight scenes, explosions galore, an amazing gun fight or a thrilling car chase. This year's winner and nominees feature all of that so you know you're in good hands.

In a clear cut fashion, The Expendables takes it. I mean, that is exactly what the movie was made for. For the tremendous, testosterone driven action! Not that there wasn't a story or anything like that, but that isn't what drew movie goers in. Throw together some of the better action stars of the last 20-25 years, and have them create an intense, all action flick. Part 2 is on the way, and I can only imagine we'll be talking about the sequel in the same breath as the original.
