Weekend Box Office Numbers 9/24-9/26

September is almost over and were nearing the month of halloween which brings us lots and lots of scary, horror movies. Some good, some bad, some really bad, whatever the case they are coming. So if you're a fan of horror movies, your favorite month of the year is coming. If not a fan, then see you in the theaters in November.

But wait, we still have this last week of September to cover and here are the weekend box office numbers from this past weekend:
  1. Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps   $19 Million
  2. Legend of The Guardians: Owls of Ga'hoole   $16.3 Million
  3. The Town   $16 Million
  4. Easy A  $10.7
  5. You Again   $8.3 Million
  6. Devil   $6.5 Million
  7. Resident Evil: Afterlife   $4.9 Million
  8. Alpha and Omega 3D   $4.7 Million
  9. Takers   $1.7 Million
  10. Inception   $1.2 Million
Another typical weekend from the box office, with Wall Street coming in first with the Owls of Ga'hoole right behind them. Inception is probably in its last week in the top 10 so farewell to what was, most likely, the movie of the year.

The Town comes in at number 3 with a strong showing in its 2nd week on the top 10, though that may fall as of next week as well.

Next comes three wide release movies that include The Social Network, which is my pick for the top spot on the box office charts, Let Me In as Octobers first horror/halloween movie of the month and finally Case 39...October's second horror/halloween movie.
