DVD Releases September 7th

With September comes some not so great movies in the theaters. I didn't say anything about DVDs and September may produce some DVDs worthy of rental and even purchase.

Here are the DVD releases:

Another week filled with possible buys and something different for each type of style. Don't let the numbers or the reviews fool you, MacGruber was pretty damn funny. Bad timing mixed with a bad history of Saturday Night Live character movies not doing so great really buried this movie too early. If you have the opportunity to rent or buy MacGruber on DVD or Blu-ray, do it.

Another possible buy would be Camp Rock 2:The Final Jam. If you're into musicals, liked the first Camp Rock or just want to occupy your kids for 2 hours, this is the movie for you. With a sing-a-long feature, extended scenes and behind the scene extras included on the DVD, you can't go wrong.

Finally, for anyone following the fall season TV show line-up, Chuck, Supernatural and Smallville are coming back with a new season soon so if you missed the prior season or just enjoyed the prior season, the DVD and Blu-ray of the prior season are out today.
