Resident Evil Afterlife 3D
So here comes the fourth installment of a franchise that borrowed very loosely from the actual source material. Yet a fourth movie has been made, due to the other previous three making a profit. How? I am not too sure. I have enjoyed the franchise for what they are to me: a alternative take of the Resident Evil universe. But with the fourth and fifth parts of the game series out and more than worthy being made directly into movies we keep on getting this odd movie franchise. With Afterlife it seems they are trying to remedy the lack of continuity from the games by including villains and I am guessing a form of “Las Plagas”. Also by finally putting Wesker into the forefront. Will Afterlife be good? Not sure. Will it make money? Yes of course. It was filmed in 3D instead of converted and people will go to see this. I want to see the executioner from the fifth game in action. But will the injection of actual game characters help bring this series a new breath of life or will the continued lack of actual game story line finally nail the coffin shut? Well soon see.
