Piranha 3D sequel wants YOU to choose which celeb dies!
Alexandre Aja's PIRANHA 3D didn't do amazing at the box ofice but it seems it pleased the majority of genre fans out there who gave it a shot. Personally I was expecting a little bit more from the flick but in the end I left the theater with a smile on my face. So when news broke that The Weinstein Company were already moving forward with a sequel it put another smile on my face. And it seems they're wasting no time in getting things rolling!
Well today's update doesn't really have anything to do with the actual production of the sequel but it does give us an idea of where The Weinstein's are going with it! You see the folks over at the NY Post recently got the lowdown on an interesting route The Weinsteins are planning on going with the PIRANHA 3D sequel. It seems Jerry O'Connell's character from the film was a hit with fans so The Weinsteins and company have decided to make the sequel interactive! What does that mean exactly? Check it:
Fans will be asked to participate in an online contest to vote for the celebrity they'd like to see eaten, or killed by other methods, in the sequel.
