Review: Although I'm pretty sure everyone has seen or heard about a Planet of the Apes movie, you probably have more or less a thought on how this movie will play out. But whether you saw the Crappy Tim Burton version or the Classic Franklin Schaffner version, this movie is worth the trip, time and money to go see. Rise of the Planet of the Apes plays tribute to its 1968 predecessor but delivers on its own terms.

First thing your probably thinking is why did I put down the monkey as a member of the cast? I mean sure he is the main character but he is a CGI character not played by anyone or even voiced by anybody. But Weta Digital created such a realistic monkey that displays joy, trust, fear, anger and sadness that makes him more believable to the audience. His interactions and relationships with the other monkeys is just amazing and done with no words just a few grunts and clever actions. Eventually you cant help but like the monkey. So Caesar (Monkey) deserves a spot in the casting list.

Now to get back on track. Rise of the Planet of the Apes is such an amazing Movie. Rupert Wyatt does such a great job directing and has a phenomenal acting cast at his disposal that he just creates pure gold. Mind you after Spiderman 3 I wasn't a big fan of James Franco. But this movie changed my views on him. Not to say he deserves an Oscar but it was good seeing him play a more serious role. Also there was Frieda Pinto whose just freaking HOT.

As time progresses and your in a comfort zone of character buildup, you like that person, you hate that person. The movie Just kicks off, like that saying "this is where the shit hits the fan" and literally it does because were talking about monkeys here. The movie just breaks that comfort zone , breaking apart relationships and portraying characters in a different light which has you on the edge of your seat.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes is a must see movie. it has everything you want in a movie. Great acting, awesome cast, a good amount of action, has its fair share of love scenes. A perfect date movie. It will have her saying "aww how cute" while he's just enjoying monkeys going crazy.

Rating: 5 out of 5
