Terra Nova - Small Screen Review

Terra Nova - Small Screen Review

Plot:

Centers on the Shannons, an ordinary family from 2149 when the planet is dying who are transported back 85 million years to prehistoric Earth where they join Terra Nova, a colony of humans with a second chance to build a civilization.

Episodes One and Two:

Going to try to review this differently that the previous Small Screen entries. I don’t want to regurgitate the whole show back into these articles. I am reviewing them so I should just straight into if it was good or not, or if I will continue to watch it.

With that said, Terra Nova is exactly as you would think it supposed to be. A new take on Jurassic Park. And that is not a bad thing.

Take it like this: Instead of a humans building a park and recreating dinosaurs; humans are going back in time and building housing/civilization among dinosaurs. The show works. I found nothing really bad with it. I wonder if they are seriously able to keep up the cost of the show for more than one season though. Thankfully the show is focusing on the human side of things. Throwing some dinos here and there. Adding another rouge human element. And poking at a mysterious, maybe alien subplot.

Overall a good start to a new show. Let’s see how it unfolds.
