The Small Screen: Deadman Coming To CW?
Source Comicbook Resources
According to The Hollywood Reporter's Live Feed blog, "Supernatural" creator Eric Kripke is developing a series based on the DC Comics character for the CW network. The series will focus on Boston Brand, the murdered trapeze artist turned ghost. The article describes that he "continues to live on by inhabiting other people's bodies and helping them resolve conflicts and issues in their lives."
First appearing in the early 1960s as part of a wave of off-beat characters that straddled the line between superhero and horror comics, "Deadman" is one of the more unlikely properties to get the CW treatment, but Kripke may be able to fuse the concept's odd, mystical elements with the weekly drama feel of many of the CW's programs. "Supernatual" became a success with a similar melding of vampires, angels, and two brothers wandering the country looking for trouble. It is set to air its seventh season this fall.
Supernatural is honestly one of the best shows on CW and with Eric Kripke I feel like Deadman would be in good hands.
