The Spot News: Chris Hemsworth In Snow White?
Deadline pegs the 27-year-old actor, Chris Hemsworth, as the frontrunner to star opposite Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron in director Rupert Sanders’ retelling of the classic fairy tale.
Hemsworth would, naturally, play the huntsman, a pivotal role left vacant in March when Viggo Mortensen withdrew from prolonged, and apparently dicey, negotiations (one report contends talks fell apart over money, while another says the actor was displeased with a rewrite). Universal then turned its attention to Hugh Jackman, hoping to take advantage of the delay in production of The Wolverine. He passed.
