Weekend Box Office Numbers November 12th-14th

By: Robert Acosta

So with November half way done, there hasn't been too many surprises with the numbers. It made sense for Megamind to come out in the top spot due to it being in 3D and all. How about this week? Any surprises? Let us take a look:

  1. MegaMind   $30.1 Million
  2. Unstoppable   $23.5 Million
  3. Due Date   $14.5 Million
  4. Skyline   $11.7 Million
  5. Morning Glory   $9.6 Million
  6. For Colored Girls   $6.8 Million
  7. Red   $5.1 Million
  8. Paranormal Activity 2   $3.1 Million
  9. Saw 3D   $2.8 Million
  10. Jackass 3D   $2.3 Million
So what do you know, Megamind takes the top spot for a 2nd week in a row. I honestly thought Unstoppable would take the top spot, with Skyline as my surprise pick to maybe take the top spot. Wrong on both accounts on my part but it's ok!

Megamind was an OK movie but the 3D sales are really pushing this movies sales. Unstoppable was a close 2nd, though that was just an OK movie too. Funny how all these OK movies are making some decently good money. Due Date is seemingly getting the short end of the stick and may be the better movie in the top 5, though Morning Glory has caught my attention.

To round it out, the two top Halloween movies are holding on at positions 8 and 9, though that may come to an end come next week. Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is out in theaters this Friday. If I were a betting man, my money is on Mr. Potter to be at number 1 come next Sunday when the results are out.
