The Spot News: Evil Dead 4 Is Happening With A Bit Of Help From Diablo Cody
The Evil Dead remake/sequel seems to be really happening. Confirmation from start of the previous trilogy Bruce Campbell and now news that Diablo Cody is being brought in to rewrite the script. He is what has been said:
[Federico] Alvarez wrote the [Evil Dead rejigger] script with Rodo Sayagues. Academy Award® winning screenwriter Diablo Cody is currently doing revisions on the draft. Ghost House is committed to renewing the franchise and has the film on the fast track.
But Cody herself has tweeted that the script is perfect and brilliant and really doesn't need much tinkering.
Good news then. But will a new Evil Dead film, being either a remake or 4th part, capture what made the original trilogy great or will it suffer from "Hollywoods" dirty hands?
