Awake - Small Screen Review
Awake - Small Screen Review
Episode Four - "Kate Is Enough"
While investigating an alleged suicide during an upscale yacht party with Detective Vega, Detective Britten runs into Rex's former babysitter Kate (Brianna Brown). Later, in a case Britten is investigating with Bird, Kate appears again, this time as a suspect. Dr. Lee and Dr. Evans try to help him make sense of his run in with these two very different versions of the same woman.
I liked this episode. Instead of giving us two similar cases in both realities we are treated to different cases with the same main person being involved. The differences in the realities for Kate is that in one she had help to overcome the death of her sister and become successful while in the other the mother gave up on her so she became troubled and drug dependent. Britten also learns how to help and communicate with Rex. Since Rex seems to be suffering emotionally due to the loss of his mom, lashing out at his friend who broke his tennis racket, which belonged to his mom, and lashing out at his father.
