The Secret Circle - Small Screen Review
The Secret Circle - Small Screen Review
Episode 9 Review - "Balcoin"
Mid-Season Finale
Cassie's hoping to discover more about her lineage and why she has powers separate from the Circle, she brought Jake with her and look into her father's side of the family. Meanwhile, Faye reveals that Jake might be hiding something dangerous from them so Adam becomes protective of Cassie. At the same time, Adam's equally concerned when Melissa's cousin Holden comes to town and catches Diana's eye. A power shift forms between Charles and Dawn that threatens to destroy their plan.
Faye made it her personal mission to expose Jake. And expose him she did, with a little help from Adam who had his own motivations for keeping Cassie and Jake apart.
Knowing he couldn’t get too close to Cassie, Jake tried to push her away with a simple “I’m not interested” when she asked him about the obvious spark between them. But after creepily staring at her through her bedroom window, he had a change of heart and decided to escort her to the maritime gala.
But even Jake’s feelings for Cassie couldn’t keep her from getting kidnapped by his merry band of witch hunters. After much convincing Jake eventually teamed up with Faye and Adam to rescue Cassie, at which point he and Adam fought over which of them got the pleasure of saving her. Adam ultimately got the honor of playing Cassie’s knight in shining armor, while Jake stayed behind and learned a shocking secret: Cassie is “not the only child of Blackwell in the circle.” It seems it might end up being Faye all for the fact it is somewhat alluded too earlier when Cassie’s grandmother mentions that Dawn had a thing for Blackwell (Cassie’s dad). Great finale cliffhanger.
