Superman: Man of Steel isn't being released for another year and a half but lots of casting has gone on over the last couple months that an update may be a bit necessary. There was also a casting news from yesterday so this post will be as updated as possible.
At this point the movie is going by title of Man of Steel.
The casting is pretty much done, and here is a list of how it looks:
- Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent
- Amy Adams as Lois Lane
- Michael Shannon as General Zod
- Kevin Costner as Johnathan Kent
- Diane Lane as Martha Kent
- Russell Crowe as Jor-El
- Connie Nielsen as Lara-El
- Antje Traue as Faora
Looks like a strong cast from top to bottom, mixed in with household names to undiscovered names. At this moment, Russell Crowe and Connie Nielsen are both rumored to be part of Man of Steel but i'm almost sure they're a lock to play the parts.
And yesterday, actor Christopher Meloni was listed as apart of Man of Steel. We just don't know as who. Speculation will run wild with this and so far I've heard from everything from the villain Non to Lex Luthor. Maybe it'll be a surprise, left to not be known until we all see the movie?
