The other day we at The Movie Spot gave you a couple of trailers to sit with and watch for movies coming out next year. One of those was the highly awaited Green Lantern and the other was a movie by the name of Your Highness.
I'm sure you want me to talk about Green Lantern but that'll be after this post, I promise. For now, let's talk about Your Highness.
As IMDB states it, the plot goes something like this "A fantasy movie about an arrogant, lazy prince and his more heroic brother who must complete a quest in order to save their father's kingdom."
So at first, just by reading the plot, it doesn't sound all too funny. I haven't talked about the cast yet, that's why.
We have the top notch funny Danny McBride, the versatile James Franco, the mix of beauty and comedy in both Natalie Portman and Zooey Deschanel.
Now the trailer is the red band trailer, so it's the better, no holds barred trailer. Cursing galore, bare naked asses, the whole nine yards. The trailer itself has its moments, though I think that the funniest parts are yet to be seen. I'm 100% that McBride and Franco are capable of a extremely hilarious movie and that this was merely just a sneak peek. Though, they look like they've got chemistry, which doesn't surprise me because of their good chemistry in Pineapple Express. Of course, the director from Pineapple Express and Eastbound & Down, a show that McBride is on, is directing this film. So there is a good level of familiarity that could make this film extremely fun to watch.
Only time will tell though, the movie is to be released sometime on 2011, i'm hearing April right now.
