October has always been a slow month but damn...is it usually this slow?
No movie cracked $20 million, which usually isn't much of a benchmark of a strong outing. Hell, the top movie only made a little bit over the $15 million dollar mark.
Lets take a look at this weeks box office numbers:
- The Social Network $15.5 Million
- Life As We Know It $14.6 Million
- Secretariat $12.6 Million
- Legend of the Guardian: Owls of Ga'hoole $7 Million
- My Soul to Take $6.9 Million
- The Town $6.4 Million
- Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps $4.6 Million
- Easy A $4.2 Million
- Case 39 $2.6 Million
- You Again $2.5 Million
The fact that both Case 39 and You Again are listed in the top 10 is indicative of how bad things are right now. People would rather go see either of those two movies I listed over Let Me In? I'm not a huge horror fan but damn, even i'd go watch Let Me In.
Next week we see Jackass 3D come to theaters so I 100% expect Jackass to take the top spot. I'd bet money!
