Plot:
After an Alaskan town is plunged into darkness for a month, it is attacked by a bloodthirsty gang of vampires.
Review:
30 Days of Night was a great comic book by Steve Niles and Ben Templesmith that screamed to be made into a movie. Well it was done and done very well. The only complaint I had throughout the movie is that the vampires spoke another “vamp” language, where in the comics they spoke English. All the taunts and various other dialogue between the vampires and humans was lost when they did this. But otherwise the adaptation was pretty damn good. So considering that this is a feeding frenzy vampire movie, do not expect glitter and hunky werewolves and wooden performances from the lead actress. No. Brace yourself for the gore and violence and the dread that comes with a town that experiences thirty days and night and the horde of vampires that take advantage of it. This is what a vampire movie should be about.
