Is this entirely huge news? No not really but it is interesting a small thing to look forward to. In front of a trio of Warner Bros movies this year will be a roughly three minute short featuring two classic WB characters: Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. Those movies are: Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hoole and Yogi Bear.
Of course this will be in 3D and I welcome that in this case. This is something would look pretty damn cool in 3D, unlike Clash of the Titans.
My big reason for talking about this topic isn't because there isn't much to talk about on this Monday night(there are a couple of cool topics...I guess) but because I could see something happening. Lets say these shorts get some good buzz about them and why wouldn't they since Road Runner and Wile E. are pretty entertaining characters. What if this leads to another new fad for movies? 3D caught on mighty and unnecessarily fast. Pixar pulls off these shorts before their movies quite nicely with some inspirational stories. The Pokemon movies also did the same thing with stories pertaining to the movie. Are we witnessing a fad in the making?
