First box office post of the new year! Not that movies making money should excite you in anyway, but it's always good to see movies you like do good, and terrible movies suffer the consequences.
These box office numbers coming up aren't too eventful. Equally so, January is shaping up to be the same. The Green Hornet will make its money. As will The Dilemma and No Strings Attached(I think). Though I don't see any movies really creeping up and surprising us, at least there will be a couple of movies to watch.
Let's look at this past weekends box office numbers:
- Little Fockers $26.3 Million
- True Grit $24.5 Million
- Tron: Legacy $18.3 Million
- Yogi Bear $13 Million
- Chronicles of Narnia $10.5 Million
- Tangled $10.1 Million
- The Fighter $10 Million
- Gulliver's Travels $9.1 Million
- Black Swan $8.5 Million
- The King's Speech $7.6 Million
Little Fockers takes the top spot, though not by much. A review for Little Fockers should be right above this, or look in the archive to your right. Good that it's making its money, a solid film. Not that I want a sequel but it should make its money.
Same goes for Yogi Bear, don't want to see a sequel for what was a solid film but I like to see it make its money.
Next week, Season of the Witch and Country Strong make their debut. So, I expect this top 10 to stay mostly the same. Maybe Little Fockers makes it 3 weeks in a row at #1?
