Maybe the most important award of the year, best animated movie of the year. Why this one, you ask? Well, here at The Movie Spot, we love our animated movies. Correct me if i'm wrong but i'm sure that me and my colleague feature at least 2 or 3 animated films in our top 10 this year. So, it's safe to say we're big on animated films.
Let's take a look at the best of the best in animated films of 2010:
Robert Acosta:
Winner: Despicable Me
Runner Ups: Yogi Bear, How to Train Your Dragon, Toy Story 3
Jose Diaz:
Winner: How to Train Your Dragon
Runner Ups: Despicable Me
You have no idea how bad I wanted to give this award to Yogi Bear. One of the more surprising films of the year, it wasn't enough to overtake Despicable Me in my book. Good sharp comedy, funny animations, good use of 3D, Despicable Me was one of the total packages of the year. How to Train Your Dragon was the other total package of the year. Great story, good use of 3D, good witty comedy, and extremely charming. Toughest award to hand out, but definitely the right movies got them.
