I hate when this happens. A whole slew of good DVDs come out just days before Christmas. Why does this always happen? I guess it's a smart ploy to get lots of money...and unfortunately it works. Well, let's take a look at the DVD releases this week:
NOTE: Bold means DVD is also available in Blu-Ray
- Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps
- Salt
- Step Up 3
- Devil
- Easy A
- Family Guy: It's a Trap
- Family Guy Trilogy
- Futurama(Volume 5)
- UFC 120: Bisping vs. Akiyama
So this week you've got a nice array of things to choose from. Good dramas, entertaining dance moves, terrifying horror films and hilarious comedies.
While the only thing that stood out for Step Up 3 was the dancing, i'm sure they're will be tons of extras around the dancing, and that's a plus.
The Family Guy Trilogy is a small box set of the now 3 Star Wars parodies that were done and it's actually at an affordable price. You can walk into target and pick up the DVD trilogy for less than $20, and the Blu-Ray for like $22. Of course, if you have the other 2 long episodes on DVD, than you could just pick up the It's a Trap DVD.
Lastly, both Devil and Easy A were strong films, so at the very least, the DVDs should be rentable. Devil= terrifying. Easy A= good, genuine entertainment. Either way, you can't go wrong.
Next week brings some DVDs you may want, along with a show that I despise! Sounds like a good week.
